This Fall, Be a Superhero for Children!

Join us on Sunday October 24
from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at the
Josephine Butler Parks Center
2437 15th Street NW,
Washington, DC

Enjoy seasonal appetizers and fine wine, a photo and art exhibit from children in the four shelters we serve, family entertainment, a silent auction and an opportunity to learn more about the Playtime Project from the volunteers, supporters, and families! On this Sunday before Halloween, costumes are optional, but a superhero attitude is required...

Childhood should be fun, not scary. It takes a superhero to fight the many battles of homelessness...whether you're a child, parent, volunteer, advocate, donor or supporter. Celebrate the work of the Playtime Project to bring joy to children and families in shelters!

As homelessness continues to grow in our community, so must our circle of support to be there for the children of D.C. General Emergency Family Shelter, Turning Point Center for Women and Children, Northwest Church Family Network, Park Road Emergency Family Shelter, and starting this fall, the District Alliance for Safe Housing!

Register here and share this invitation with other superheroes. This is a family-friendly event! Admission for Children is a donation of a new or gently used Halloween costume. If you are interested in serving on the Host Committee or can help find corporate sponsorships or donations for our Silent Auction, please contact Lana Tilley. Thank you for spreading the word!
